Mr. Kiyoshi Okubo joined Mitsui & Co. Global Investment, Inc. (MGI) in June 2020. Since 2001, Mr. Okubo has been working on venture investments at the corporate first at the venture investment arm of Mitsui & Co, Ltd. (former organization of MGI) where he actively invested in advanced hardware manufacturers, creating spinoffs from IT enterprises, and where he was dedicated to the strategy planning of CVC initiatives of Mitsui & Co.

After 2011, he was assigned to several key roles in Financial & New Business Unit (former organization of Corporate Development BU in which MGI belongs) of Mitsui & Co., including the dept. GM in a leasing Company of Mitsui & Co group, the dept. GM of the Financial & New Business Dept. in Mitsui & Co. Asia Pacific and the dept. GM of Asset Management Business Dept. of Mitsui & Co., Ltd.

Through this experience, he has acquired a broad range of knowledge and expertise about the financial businesses operated by Mitsui & Co., and will utilize them to activate MGI further as the CVC of Mitsui & Co, Ltd.
