Atsushi Mizuno has over 15 years of experience with technology startup investments. After several investments in Japan and Korea, he led MGI’s first investment in Israel in April 2010. Following several investments in Israeli startups, Atsushi relocated to Tel Aviv, Israel, for more than six years to support the growth of portfolio companies, including Autotalks, Valens Semiconductor, and Cipia Vision (ex-eyeSight Mobile Technologies), and to establish business relations between Israeli startups and Japanese corporations. Additionally, he is a co-founding member and General Partner of Magenta Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital in Israel established by Mitsui & Co. and two Israeli venture capitalists.
Before MGI, Atsushi led Business Development together with global startups at SoftBank. He received a B.A. in International Relations from Kobe City University of Foreign Studies and is a board member of the Israel Japan Chamber of Commerce.
Atsushi now lives in Tokyo, Japan, with his wife and two kids, one who was born in Israel, and the other who grew up there. In his free time, he goes fishing nearby his house and also enjoys looking for new local foods and restaurants all over Japan.
